Medical Apps a SMART Strategy

New apps prove to be an answer to on-the-road health care according to a recent New York Times article. While apps cannot replace doctors, they exhibit the principles of SMART strategy. Apps are not only used to record vital health information for easy access, but they now provide services such as systematic reading of blood pressure or glucose levels.

In addition, to providing hard data, apps are able to give necessary feedback and a plan of attack for the patient or doctor using it. The president of WellDoc said that the information is important, but it’s the specialized feedback that makes the difference.
